Mason blushed harder, holding him close.

“I seriously don’t wanna go to school,” Chris muttered, exhaling softly.

‘Why not?’ Mason asked softly.

“I dunno, I guess- Maybe I’m nervous for the game or something?” Chris mumbled, exhaling shakily,

‘That’s okay. Rest for now and we’ll talk about it later,’ Mason said.

Chris nodded, taking a deep breath as he curled closer to Mason.

Mason raked his fingers through his hair, trying to relax him.

Chris relaxed in Mason’s touch, humming softly with content.

Mason smiled gently, rubbing his back.

Chris smiled a little, tangling their legs together.

Mason held him close.

“I wish we could stay home,” Chris muttered softly.

‘I know. But it’s the weekend tomorrow, so we have that to look forward to, right?’ Mason said, trying to cheer him up.

“But that’s when the game is-“ Chris groaned, burying his face in Mason’s chest.

‘How about this, when your game finishes, we can spend the rest of the day doing whatever you want?’
