"You- 24/7?! Babe, that can't be good for you-" Chris said, looking over at Mason and furrowing his brows.
-
‘Relax, not when I’m sleeping and s---,’ Mason said. ‘And I don’t work out all that often, it’s fine.’
-
"Sorry, sorry, I just- I don't want you to hurt yourself or anything," Chris said with an awkward chuckle, his face heating up.
-
‘I’m fine,’ Mason said, leaning against him.
-
Chris nodded, rubbing Mason's side. "Are you hoping to get top surgery soon?" He asked softly before kissing the side of his head.
-
Mason nodded, leaning into his touch. ‘Hopefully,’ he said quietly.
-
"If you like, need someone to help you pay, I can- I can get more shifts, get another job- whatever will help~" Chris said, smiling down at Mason.
-
Mason shook his head. ‘It’s fine. I don’t want to take your money,’ he said softly, resting his head on Chris’s chest.
-
"But- I want to help you," Chris spoke softly, holding Mason close and running a hand through his boyfriend's hair.
-
‘I can pay for it myself,’ Mason said, a little harshly as he leaned into his touch.
-
Chris flinched a little, nodding. "Right- Of course, yeah-" He spoke a bit shakily, looking away. "Sorry-"
-
Mason was silent for a few moment, snuggling closer to him with a sigh.
-
"I-I wasn't trying to offend you, Mason," Chris whispered, his voice shaky. "I- I just thought, if I helped you- helped you pay for this, maybe-" He stopped himself, sighing and ducking his head. "Sorry..."
-
Mason sighed. ‘It’s fine,’ he mumbled. ‘I don’t need your help.’
-
"I know- I-I'm not trying to undermine you or anything, I promise, hun," Chris spoke shakily, staring at his hands. "I'm sorry, I- I shouldn't have even suggested it..."
