Mason sighed, glancing up at him. ‘Better since graduation.’

“I’m glad to hear that,” Chris said, a sad smile on his guilt-ridden face.

'Mm. What about you?'

“I’ve uhm, I’ve been alright, I guess,” Chris spoke quietly, rubbing his palms against his jeans.

Mason nodded, resting his chin on the palm of his hand. He rubbed his blue eye. 'Thats good.'

“How’s college going for you?” Chris asked softly, glancing back at Mason.

'Eh, it's going good. I'm majoring in art,' Mason said. 'You?'

“I uh, I’m not in college,” Chris spoke a little shakily, crossing his arms over his chest.

'Oh. Do you have a job?'

“I have a few jobs, yeah,” Chris replied, nodding. “Gotta lay the bills, y’know-“

'Right,' Mason nodded.

“What uh, what do you do for work?”

'I'm an intern at the local museum,' Mason said.

Chris smile a little, nodding. “That sounds fun,” he spoke with a quiet chuckle, running a hand through his hair.

‘It is. I lead art tourist groups,’ Mason said, giving a slight smile. ‘What do you work as?’
