“Just get yourself a partner- There, solved,” Clay teased, chuckling. “Now, finding someone who tolerate all, this- That’s a you problem~” He joked, waving his hand around Nick.
-
Nicks jaw dropped and he scoffed in disbelief. “You’re kidding, right? You’re crazy enough to be going after the foreign exchange student who’s only gonna be here for- like, I don’t even know how many months. And you don’t even know if he’s gay,” He said softly, chuckling.
-
“Yeah, uh- We don’t talk about that,” Clay said with an embarrassed chuckle, running a hand through his hair.
-
“Well, you probably should,” Nick said with a chuckle, leaning against the door frame. “Should what?” George asked, hopping back into the room as he pulled his second shoe on.
-
“Nothing- We all ready to go?” Clay asked quickly, looking at George and Nick.
-
“Yeah, let’s go,” George said with a nod. “I’ll drive!” Nick said, heading down the front walkway to his car.
-
Clay followed Nick outside, walking over to his car and to the passenger seat.
-
“Damn, kicking me to the back, huh?” George said as he sat in the backseat, moving to the middle so he could see the two. “Duh. British boys in the back. Haven’t you heard of that?” Nick teased as he backed out of the driveway, grinning at George.
-
“Sorry, Georgie- I mean, we don’t make the rules, that’s just how it is,” Clay joked, chuckling.
-
“That’s fair, I doubt anybody would listen to you two to make rules,” George said with a chuckle, grabbing his phone.
-
“I mean, probably not Nick, that’s for sure~” Clay teased, chuckling softly.
-
“Oh, f--- off,” Nick said with a chuckle, pulling out of Clays neighborhood, “I’ll be captain of the football team one day, just you wait-“ “You play football too?” George asked, glancing up from his phone. “Yeah, but I’m not as good as Clay.”
-
“That’s because I’m the football champ!” Clay said with a chuckle, smirking playfully at Nick. “And probably because I’ve been doing it for longer than him.”
-
“Yeah, dumb---,” Nick said with a laugh, glancing at him for a second. “Lowkey, if I played baseball, which I wouldn’t, I wouldn’t want either of you as captain.”
-
“To be honest, baseball’s kinda mid,” Clay said with a chuckle, resting his hands in his lap. He fidgeted with the sleeve of his shirt, zoning out as he stared out at the road.
