“Not really,” Nick said with a tired chuckle, wringing his fingers together as tears ran down his cheeks. -
“Figured as much,” Clay said with a chuckle, rubbing Nick’s back again. “Just- Don’t beat yourself up over this, okay?”

“It’s kind of hard not to,” Nick said softly, exhaling.

“I know, I- I definitely feel that,” Clay said with a quiet chuckle, exhaling softly. “Just, try not to, okay? And I’m always here for you if you need to talk or vent, alright?”

“Yeah,” Nick nodded, “I just- hate talking about it, if you couldn’t tell.” He said, chuckling. awkwardly.

“Nah, really? I had no idea~” Clay teased with a chuckle, letting go of Nick and pulling back.

Nick chuckled quietly, staring at the floor. “Thanks man. I appreciate it.”

“Hey, you’re my best friend, dude- I’m always gonna be here for you,” Clay said, smiling at Nick.

Nick smiled softly, glancing over at Clay finally. “And I hope you know it’s the same for you.”

Clay smiled back, nodding. “Yeah, I do,” he said, chuckling softly.

Clay chuckled, nudging Nick’s side. “Alright, back to the movie,” he said with a smile, turning back to the TV.

Clay yawned as he hugged his blanket around his shoulders, watching the next movie he had put on. He glanced down at his phone, reading George’s text again saying that he was on his way back, -
