“Well, you’re not driving home,” George said with an anxious chuckle. “But I’m happy to hear that,” he said softly, also sitting down and grabbing Clay’s hand.

Clay chuckled softly, taking George’s hand in his own. “Yeah, that’s- That’s probably a good idea,” he said with an awkward chuckle, nodding. He leaned against his boyfriend’s side, exhaling quietly. “I kind of wish I had a vape right now, but I probably shouldn’t be getting high right now-“

“I mean,” George paused, fighting the urge to reach for it in his pocket. “Yeah. That’s a good point. You really shouldn’t be getting high.”

“I mean, I wouldn’t argue if you just so happened to have yours on you,” Clay half-joked with a chuckle, leaning closer to George.

“Well, you obviously wouldn’t argue, you want the vape,” George said with a chuckle.

“Well, do you or do you not have your vape on you?” Clay asked, chuckling.

“I don’t,” George lied quickly, leaning forward and pressing a kiss on Clay’s cheek. “And you’ll be fine without it.”

Clay whined softly, blushing a little when George kissed his cheek. “Ah, it’s probably for the best. I’ve been wanting to quit, anyways,” he said, chuckling quietly. “I mean, the only reason I started was because I wanted to forget, and push down the s--- with Jolie.”

“Exactly, and she’s out of your life, so how about vaping too? It’s be a good time to start quitting, anyways,” George said with a small smile.

Clay nodded, a small smile on his face. “Why did you start vaping? If- If you don’t wanna say, that’s totally fine, it’s just- it’s just a question that popped into my head-“

George shrugged, clasping his hands. “Peer pressure, I think-“

“That’s fair,” Clay replied with a nod, letting go of George’s hand and wrapping his arm around his waist. “Maybe we could both, y’know, work on quitting- I mean, I wouldn’t force you into it, but I figured it may be easier for me- Or like, less tempting? I- I don’t know-“

“Uh- nah, I don’t think I could do that,” George whispered, shrugging and chuckling a little. “Not right now, at least. I’ll try not to vape around you, I promise-“

Clay nodded in understanding, resting his head on George’s shoulder. He wrapped his other arm around his boyfriend’s waist, hugging him close. “I wish I never had to go back to school…”

“You should lowkey ask your mom if you should homeschool-“ George said with a soft chuckle, wrapping an arm around Clay’s waist.
