Hazel blushed. ‘Shut up!’ she huffed.

Jackie shook his head. "You do!" He grinned.

‘Oh, be quiet.’

Jackie shook his head. "Nope." He paused. "Does Max like you back?"

‘I don’t know! How should I know!’ Hazel said, the flusteredness creeping into her voice.

"I dunno, ask him or something! And if he doesn't and you wind up embarrassed, you never have to see him again!"

‘We’ve got three weeks of holidays! Even if he likes me back the same thing will happen with him like it did with me Theo!’

Jackie sighed. But at least you'd be over Theo... "Fine, don't listen to me."

Hazel huffed, putting down her phone. ‘I’m just saying, there’s no point into getting into a relationship with anyone here.’

"Fair enough." Jackie shrugged.

Hazel nodded and rolled over, back to him.

Jackie smiled. "So..."

‘So?’

"Any good restaurants?" Jackie asked. "Or bakeries?"

‘There’s one down the road I can take you and Lilla to tomorrow, if you want. It has good croissants but the workers probably hate me.’
