Evan flushed a deeper red, moving his head to hide it on Connor’s neck. “You’re such a b----,” he said with a whine, wrapping his arms around his waist.
-
Connor chuckled and kissed the side of Evan's head, rubbing his back. "It does feel nice to hear you say that, though," he spoke with a smile, kissing the side of his head again.
-
“I’m glad it does, because it took a lot of effort to say it,” Evan said with a chuckle. “It’s true, though.”
-
Connor blushed and smiled, hugging Evan close. "I'm really, really f---ing happy to hear that~" He spoke with a smile.
-
Evan chuckled quietly, lifting his head to look at Connor. “I’m glad~”
-
Connor exhaled softly, curling closer to Evan. He groaned softly, his hands gripping onto his shirt. "f---, my arms are hurting," he muttered, letting go of his boyfriend and pulling his arms to his chest. "Can you- can you go get my mom?" He asked quietly, staring at the bandages on his arms.
-
“Oh, yeah, I will,” Evan said softly, letting go of Connor and standing up. He quickly exited the room, glancing around for Hannah. He found her, waving her over and walking over himself.
-
Hannah spotted Evan and quickly walked over, entering the room. "Hey hun," she spoke softly, walking over to Connor. "How are you feeling?" "Fine," he replied in a quiet voice, looking up at his mom. "I think the cuts opened up again," he added, holding out his arms. The bandage on the undersides started turning red, the blood beginning to soak it. She nodded and turned, moving over to grab a cart that sat against the wall. She pulled it over and began unwrapping Connor's arms, cleaning the cuts with a spray to clean and prevent the cuts from getting infected.
-
Evan stayed standing awkwardly by the door, fiddling with his fingers and staying quiet.
-
Hannah finished cleaning the cuts and re-wrapped Connor's arms, grabbing a small bottle and a needle. She stuck it in the bottle and pulled some of the medication inside it before gently grabbing Connor's arm, injecting it. He winced softly, looking away from the needle in his arm. "And, you're done," Hannah spoke with a smile, putting away the tools and tossing the needle into its designated trash car. "Let me know if you need more, okay? And it may make you drowsy, so if you get tired, please rest," she spoke, moving the cart back to its spot. "I've got more work, but I'll be checking in on you, alright?" Connor nodded, running a hand through his hair. She said her goodbyes and walked out of the room, gently closing the door. Connor exhaled, leaning back in the bed.
-
“So, they’re giving you drugs, huh?” Evan said with a soft smile, moving to sit on the chair he had before.
-
"Yeah, all the drugs," Connor replied with a chuckle, looking over at Evan. "Pain meds, ironically. That's what I uhm, almost overdosed on. Well, what I tried to overdose on."
-
Evan nodded, offering his hand to Connor again. “That is a little ironic. Does your body not reject it? Because of, y’know-“
-
"Hell if I know," Connor replied with a shrug, chuckling. "My mom may be a nurse, but I know nothing about this stuff," he added, taking Evan's hand. "I guess it doesn't? I mean, it's a different type of pain killers than what I have at home."
-
“Huh, that kinda makes sense,” Evan said with a shrug. “Oh, look,” he held his arm up, with no cast on. “Got the cast off.”
