Karl paused and squinted his eyes, thinking for a moment before widening them, panic rising. "s---, WE'RE LATE-" He quickly spun around and rushed back into his room, searching for clothes to change into. -

Nick blinked, watching as Karl rushed back into his room. He didn’t know what to do really, since he didn’t have a change of clothes and he was in his clothes from yesterday. “Uh, Karl, I think I’m gonna head to my house before I go to the shelter- I have to make sure none of my animals died.” -
(yeah, just upset with myself for procrastinating on all my school work and then not getting a project i knew abt a month prior done. and if i don't get it all done i may not get to sing tonight and i'm just- overall not great, but i think i'll be okay. dw abt me too much, but again, probably will try n focus on my school more today.)
"Oh, okay! Yeah, definitely go do that," Karl replied with a chuckle, looking back at Nick. He swiftly walked over to the ravenette and wrapped his arms around him, pressing a kiss on his cheek. "I'll see you later, then~" He said with a smile before letting go, walking back over to his dresser.

“Bye,” Nick said, quickly pressing a kiss onto Karl’s forehead before heading to the door and hopping in his car.

Karl pulled into the parking lot of the shelter, climbing out of his car and rushing through the door of the building. He walked into see a few people in chairs and an older man at the front desk, talking to Elodie. He walked over and behind the desk, sighing. "I'm so sorry I'm late," he said, frowning. "It's alright, just be lucky it wasn't your day to open~" Elodie teased, smirking at the brunette. -

Probably around five minutes later, Nick pulls in as well. He’s changed into a different outfit, and all of his animals are alive and fed. He hops out of his car and speed walks into the shelter. “Hello. Sorry I’m late- Oh, you beat me!” -
Karl giggled, looking up from his laptop. "Yeah, I rushed over like, right after changing and feeding the pups," he replied, leaning back in his chair. Elodie looked between the two, a smirk on her face. "So, how'd your date go?" She asked, earning a flustered look and playful glare from Karl.

Nick blushed a little bit, giggling as he walked behind the counter and standing behind his boyfriend. He put a hand on the brunettes shoulder, smiling. “It was amazing.”

Karl giggled, wrapping an arm around Nick's waist. Elodie raised her eyebrows, smirking. "So, did you two, y'know?" Karl flushed bright red, shaking his head violently. "Oh my God, Elodie, why would you think that?!"

“Ewww, shut up, Eloise,” Nick said, laughing as he ruffled Karl’s hair and moving aaay to head to the animal room.

Karl glared at Elodie, who giggled. "What? I had to ask~" She teased, nudging the brunette's arm. "No, you really didn't," Karl replied, rolling his eyes at his friends. He watched Nick walk off with a lovesick grin on his face, sighing happily. "I take it things went well, though?" She asked as Karl looked back at his laptop. "Yeah, really well~" He answered with a smile, going back to his work. "Good, I'm happy for you, man."

Nick checked on all the animals, feeding some before coming back out and moving back around the counter. “Did anything crazy happen before we showed up?” He asked Eloide, propping his hand on Karl’s head and leaning against him.

"No, just clients coming in for appointments," Elodie replied, leaning back in her seat. Karl hummed as he leaned into Nick's hand, smiling.
