“Damn, I haven’t seen Alex in a while,” Sapnap commented, playing with the brim of his hat for a moment. “When did you see him?”

"It was a while back, when he came down for that one IRL stream," Karl replied, glancing over at Nick. "Gosh, I guess we should have thought to invite you," he added, starting to turn red with embarrassment. "Y'know what? We should plan something for the three of us! Maybe we can do putt putt, or something else fun??"

“Nah don’t worry about it,” Sapnap furrowed his eyebrows a little, grinning uncertainly. “Putt putt? Is that like mini golf?”

"Yeah, pretty much," Karl responded, nodding with a smile. "Like Frankie's Fun Park, that's putt putt! Or maybe we could do an escape room, stream that! Ooh, that actually sounds really fun. Or maybe we could-" He paused, his face heating up. "Sorry, I'm rambling, aren't I? I'll just uh, shut up and eat," he spoke with an awkward chuckle, grabbing a piece of chicken and dipping it in ketchup, taking a bite.

Sapnap grinned a little bit. “No, no, please, these are good stream ideas to steal.” He chuckled, taking another fry, dipping it in sauce, and eating it. “But an escape room sounds super fun, honestly.”

Karl giggled, smiling at Nick. "That settles it them, I'll have to set up a time to get Alex back over here so we can do an escape room stream," he said with a grin, bouncing his leg against the floor.

“I can do it too, or at least help somewhat,” Sapnap said with a chuckle, leaning back in his seat while eating another fry.

Karl watched Nick for a moment, smiling as he finished his chicken strip in his hand. He paused for a moment, staring down at his food. Maybe- maybe now's the time, he thought hopefully. Maybe if I tell him- No, no he'd just be weirded out, right? I mean, he was obviously joking about the kiss thing- And what if he doesn't like guys?? UGH, why is this so difficult?! Karl sighed, rubbing his face with his free hand, covering his mouth and leaning his chin against his palm. No, I'll just make a fool of myself, I just know it...

Sapnap focused back on his food, crossing his ankles and looking out the window. “Yo, look at that car!” He said, pointing at an older, antique car driving past the establishment. “Old cars are honestly so cool.”

"Huh? Oh, yeah, they're uh, they're cool," Karl murmured in response, glancing out the window. He looked back down at his food, pressing a hand over his beating heart as the same words repeated over and over again. Do it, Karl. Do it. DO IT-

Sapnap watched the car until it went past, before looking back over to Karl. He frowned when he noticed the brunette was looking a little on edge. “Are you okay?”

"YES-" Karl shouted in response before clearing his throat, his face turning more red. "I mean, yeah, I'm- I'm perrrfectly fine," he replied quickly, rubbing the back of his neck. "Uhm, Nick, can I ask you something?"

"Have you uhm- well, I guess I- Or well, I wanted to ask-" Karl started to speak, his words jumbled together. He took a deep breath, leaning back in his seat and hugging his arms to his chest. "Have you- have you ever fallen in love, N-Nick?"
