"Yeah, oat milk is good. Same with cold foam," Karl replied with a short nod, keeping his gaze on Nick for a moment before looking around, seeing his busy the shop is. "I guess lunches are usually pretty busy for you guys, right?" -

Nick nodded, chuckling awkwardly a little. “Very busy, yeah.” He tapped something into the register. “Will that be cash or card?” -
"Cash," Karl said, pulling out his wallet and pulling out some money.

Sapnap nodded, pressing a few buttons and the cash drawer popping out. He took what Karl gave him, putting it in and giving any change. “You can have a seat, your drink will be out soon,” He forced another small smile, printing out a repciet and a small sticker that he stuck on a plastic cup, disappearing behind the counter quickly.

Karl nodded, watching Nick for a short moment before walking off, finding a place to sit.

Nick swiftly made the coffee, pausing for a second to take another customers order. Once it was done, he popped a lid on it and slid it over to the pick-up counter. “Vanilla frappe with cold foam!” He shouted, adjusting the brim of his visor slightly before moving back to make another coffee. -
Karl looked up from his phone and stood, walking over to the counter, grabbing his drink. He took a sip and smiled, savoring the taste. "This location is definitely better than the place by my house," he spoke, taking another sip. "Plus, the barista there isn't as nice." Or as cute~ he thought to himself.

Nick chuckled, glancing over to Karl with a small smile as he poured something into a large plastic cup. “You’re too kind. You not from around here?” One of his co-workers yelled at him from across the store for something and he quickly slid it over to them across the counter.

i may not be able to reply as much, since it's spring break and i'll be doing stuff w friends and family lol)
"Nah, I commute about an hour for work," Karl replied, taking another sip of his drink. "Gotta make bank, college debts don't pay themselves off." He chuckled, stirring his drink with his straw. "I do wish it was closer to home. Maybe I'd tolerate it more," he muttered, rolling his eyes. -

Nick chuckled quietly. “I feel that. I hope you have a good day, sir.” He said with a polite, forced smile as he called out another drink and slid it onto the pickup counter, wiping somthig down quickly. -
"You too," Karl added with a kind smile, turning and walking off. He exited the coffee shop, exhaling a breath he didn't realize he was holding. "Well, I think that went pretty well," he murmured to himself with a small smile, taking a sip of his drink. He hummed, smiling. "Yeah, I think I'll be coming by more often~"

Sapnap went back to his regular work, getting a little upset over something his coworker said. He had been a little offset of how much the brunette customer had spoken to him. It wasn’t too unusual as a barista, he was expected to talk to these people like they had known each other for years, but the one who had just come in acted like he had already knew him? It was a little confusing to Nick.

Karl smiled to himself as he walked over to his car, getting in and heading to his job.

Nick was at work again the next day. He, annoyingly, had the opening shift and had been there for three hours already and it wasn’t even 9 in the morning. He was wearing a white long sleeve t-shirt with jeans and the apron and visor. He had the headset on because he had forgotten to take it off from working the drive through. That brunette from yesterday was still on his mind though. There was soothing about him that made him seem so familiar.
(maybe nick could get curious and put his number on the coffee cup?)
