imsoclueless Senior"No, just- get in the car," Karl replied, slamming the back door shut. He opened the passenger side door open and climbed inside the car, shutting it. He buckled up, another swell of tears rising in him. He broke down and curled into a tight ball, tears streaming down his face as he sobbed into his knees.

Nick frowned, nodding and buckling his seatbelt again. He shifted the gear into drive and drove away. He drove to the closest park, pulled in the parking lot and parked the car. He leaned over the center console, pulling Karl into a hug. “Honey, Im so sorry.”

imsoclueless SeniorKarl stayed in his balled up position, sobbing quietly into his knees. He lifted his head after a few moments, sniffling. "It's not your fault, don't apologize," he mumbled, his voice hoarse from the screaming and crying.

“I know it’s not,” Nick said quietly, moving a hand to brush Karl’s hair off of his forehead and run his fingers through it, trying to soothe him. “But it’s a hard thing to go through, and I’m sorry you have to go through it.”

imsoclueless Senior"It's fine, I'm used to it by now," Karl muttered, rubbing his eyes and leaning into Nick's touch for a moment. He pulled away after a moment, exhaling shakily. "Can- Can we just, go to school? I don't want to think about my parents right now..."

Nick nodded, pressing a kiss onto Karl’s cheeks. “Yeah, of course we can, hon,” He said quietly, pulled away and shifting gears as he drove away. (he drives a StIcK oMg) He pulled into the school parking lot, finding a spot. They were already late, but Nick didn’t care too much. “You can go in now, and I’ll wait a little bit and go in after you, okay?” He also wasn’t worried about someone seeing Karl get out of his car, since first period had already started and most people who cared were inside.

Karl nodded and grabbed his backpack, unbuckling. "Is it fine if I just leave my board and stuff in here?" He asked, looking over at Nick. -

“Yeah, don’t worry about it, hon,” Nick said softly, squeezing Karl’s hand. “I love you. Do you want my keys so you can sit in here while I’m at practice?” -
imsoclueless SeniorKarl nodded, still somewhat out of it. "Sure, that's- that's fine," he replied softly, gently squeezing Nick's hand back.

Nick took the keys and handed them to Karl. “Here you go. You can text me if you need anything, okay?”

and like, it makes sense- ryder would rile karl up, push him past his breaking point and make him snap-
and then he gets all emo and pushes everyone away, then we're back at the first timeline u^u)
Karl took the keys and nodded, closing them in his hand. "Bye, love you," he spoke in a quiet voice, opening the car door. He climbed out and shut it behind him, walking towards the school.

“I love you too, bye,” Nick said, watching Karl walk into the school. He blew out a breath, going to wait at least half an hour or so before he went inside.

Karl walked out of his classroom, heading to his second to last class of the day. He kept the hood of Nick's jacket over his head, hugging his arms around his chest like he was holding his board. I need to buy a new one, now, he thought with a quiet sigh, walking to his locker. It won't be the same, though... He let out another shaky breath as he walked over to his locker, unlocking it and opening it. -
“Sooo, Karl,” Ryder said, leaning against the locker next to Karl’s. Jared was next to him, getting on the other side of the brunette. “I heard Nick’s super f---ing gay for you, huh?”

imsoclueless SeniorKarl flinched, seeing Ryder beside him. "Nick? Gay for me? As f---ing if," he said, rolling his eyes. "You clearly don't know s---." Connor walked over to see the commotion, feeling bad for Karl. s---, how can I get them to leave him alone??
