Ernest held her close.

Mahina let him.

They just stood like that for a while. "Do you want to go in now? Are you ready?"

Mahina nodded, taking a deep breath.

Ernest let go of her, kissing the top of her head before grabbing the doorknob and twisting it.

Mahina gave a weak smile, standing next to him.

He pushed on the door since it was stuck, and it opened. "She better be in here." He whispered.

Mahina nodded. The house was dark, so she lit up the top of her staff.

"Thanks." Ernie whispered. Orion was close behind them, looking around like his head was on a swivel.

Mahina nodded, giving a weak smile. 'Where do you think she is?'

"What room where you in?"

Mahina looked around. 'Upstairs,' she said, leading the way.

Ernest followed her close behind, trying not to get creeped out by the dark. It wasn't like he was scared of the dark- he grew out of that a long time ago- but not knowing if Selene or Callisto were IN the dark messed with his head.

Mahina looked around. She was used to the eeriness of Callisto's house after spending a month in it, but it still creeped her out. She walked up the stairs.
