Ernest grabbed two forks for them.

Mahina set two slices on two plates and put the cake back in the cupboard.

Ernie grabbed one of the plates, smiling. “Thanks.”

‘All good,’ Mahina said, taking one for herself.

Ernest took a bite.

Mahina did the same.

Ernie glanced at her with a small smile before eating more of the cake.

Mahina kissed his cheek, then continued eating as well.

Ernest blushed, smiling wider.
