Selene thought before nodding. “I could probably do it.”

Mahina leaned against Ernest. ‘Alright.’

Ernie smiled. He looked up at Selene. “Am i allowed to stay the night?”

‘Well, do you have anywhere else to go?’ Selene said.

Ernest frowned slightly before shaking his head. “No…”

Selene raised an eyebrow, but didn’t ask any questions. ‘Yeah, sure. You can stay the night.’
‘What about me?’ Orion asked, winking. -
Selene would forever have Ernie’s respect for not questioning him on why. “Thank you.”
Selene wordlessly raised her wand up at Orions face after he asked. -
Orion raised his hands. ‘Ok, ok! But your house is a little away from the village, and it’s dark! The woods are dangerous after light!’
Selene rolled her eyes. ‘There’s no space for you. Three people in one room is quite enough.’ -
“You’ll survive.” Ernest chuckled.
“I’ll be polite and quiet, I promise!” Orion asked again. -
‘Absolutely not!’
‘Come on, if you’re worried about space we could always share a bed!’
‘You’re one sentence away from leaving here without a head.’ -
Orion sighed. “Fine! Guess I’ll just walk myself home. Alone. On that long path. In the dark.”

‘There are wolves in these woods,’ Mahina put in.

“-with wolves!” Orion complained. “What if I got eaten by wolves?!”

Selene rolled her eyes. ‘Wolves don’t eat people.’
‘And witch hunters!’ -
Ernest chuckled. “Just force him to sleep on the kitchen floor or something.”
