Jayd looked at his brother. "Nothing. Why are you still here?"

'Because I'm concerned about the fact I heard screaming at 2am in the morning from your clingy little bunny,' Astrid said bluntly.

"It's nothing. He just had a surgery, and the side effects... Aren't great." Jayd looked up at Astrid. "Did you just admit you're concerned for my boyfriend?"

Astrid raised an eyebrow. 'Surgery? For what?' he questioned, voice low enough so he wouldn't wake Chester. 'And of course I'm not concerned... it was just... unnerving.'

"His shapeshifting." Jayden answered.

Astrid took a moment to respond. 'And the side effects caused him to have a nightmare like that?' he questioned. 'Did you know about it?'

Jayden nodded. "Yes to both."

Astrid frowned, obviously confused, but he didn't say anything more about it. 'I'm going back to bed. If it happens again I'll...' he paused, trying to think of a threat, then huffed and just left.

Jayden rolled his eyes, turning his attention back to Chester.

Chester was sleeping soundly. Oliver sat back down on his armchair. 'I'm going back to sleep too. Wake me if anything happens,' he said, curling up on the couch. Maeve leaned back in her chair.

Jayd nodded.

The next morning, Chester woke up, breathing heavily. He hadn't had a schizophrenic nightmare, but he'd decided overnight that sleep paralysis was worse. He used the hand that wasn't gripping Jayden's to pull the blindfold onto his forehead and look around, breathing a sigh of relief.
(I afk for maybe like 10 mins or smth) -

Jayden sat up, elbowing Oliver, who was still sleeping. "Morning, love." -
Oliver groaned and stirred awake.
'Morning,' Chester mumbled, relaxing in the bed. He seemed slightly shaky. -
"You alright?"
