Jayd felt bad telling him to quiet down, but also didn’t want Astrid and Chester to get in a fight while Maeve was watching- or to be honest, just in general, but he doubted that was a possibility at this point. -

Chester looked over at Maeve. ‘So, what have you been doing while I’ve been gone.’ -

Maeve shrugged. “Not much.” -

Chester nodded. ‘Fair enough.’ He glanced at Astrid for a moment, before looking back at Maeve. ‘Let’s go to Jayden’s room.’ -

“Ok.” Maeve mumbled. Jayden nodded, standing up. -
Chester grabbed Maeve’s hand and walked to the door, making sure Jayden was following.

Jayden was. He walked out of the kitchen with them. -

Chester wrapped an arm around Jayden’s shoulder. -
Jayd smiled softly. They all got to his room.

Chester sat on Jayden’s bed.
‘So is it true?’ Maeve asked quietly. ‘Is Astrid harassing you two?’ -
Jayden nodded. “Yeah.” He said quietly, sitting next to Chester.

Maeve balled her fists. ‘The little brat!’

Jayd chuckled, not wanting to tell her it was nothing since it wasn’t, and he didn’t want to speak for Chester.

Chester smiled. ‘Yeah, he is,’ he agreed.
‘And you’ve been having those breakdowns again?’ Maeve asked, frowning. Chester paused before nodding. -
Jayden held Chester’s hand before turning to Maeve and nodding.
