"They will be if I tell them you need to loosen up with a party. Maybe I could offer some of them a pay raise too."

'You couldn't offer them that.'

"Sure I could. You think I didn't bring money?" Jayd said with a chuckle.

'So you're going to bribe my servants to do something I specifically told you not to do?'

Jayden nodded. "Unless you have a good reason not to..."

'That reason is none of your business.'

"What, do you have some sort or trauma over it?" Jayden pressed. He knew he shouldn't, but his curiosity was killing him. It was one of the things people hated most about him- besides the fact that trouble followed wherever he went.

'Like I said, none of your business,' Chester said sternly.

"I'll take that as a yes." Jayd decided.

Chester huffed, though he knew he shouldn't expect much from humans.

"Fine, I'll try and leave you alone with parties. But could me and Maeve throw one? You wouldn't have to come or anything."

'No.'

Jayd sighed. "But clearly she doesn't have this hatred for parties. Why not let her?"

'Because. I'd rather not discuss my parenting skills with you.'

Jayden exhaled sharply. "Fine, you do you I guess." He mumbled irritatedly.
