Jayden woke up a few minutes after Chester left, noticing he wasn't in the room. He noticed the note on the bedside table and read it.

It read, ‘Have to go into town to run a few errands. Didn’t want to wake you up. I’ll be back before lunch. Love you x
- Chester’ -
Jayd kept holding the note in his hand after he read it. He stood up and started walking to his room to get changed.

Maeve appeared next to him. ‘Whatcha doing?’

"Walking to my room." Jayden answered, getting used to Maeve teleporting.

‘In your pyjamas?’

"Yeah. I'm grabbing an outfit to get changed into." Jayd knew it sounded weird saying it out loud.

Maeve blinked. ‘Aren’t those Chester’s clothes?’

"....Possibly." Jayden blushed a bit.

Maeve smirked. ‘Cooooool.’

"Shut up!" Jayd whacked her playfully with the back of his hand.

‘Hey!’ Maeve complained. ‘That’s mean!’

"I didn't do it hard, you weirdo." Jayden rolled his eyes.

Maeve scoffed. ‘Anyway, Beatrice is gone. Not sure where, but she’s not in the castle.’

Jayd gave a cheer. "Yes!"
