lol ok. Jayden leaned into him before he noticed Astrid. "What the hell are you doing here?"

Chester turned his head to see who he was talking about. His smile dropped and he pulled Jayden closer.

Jayden leaned into him. Astrid ignored him, glaring at Chester as he sat down across from them.

Chester stared at him for a moment. He was tempted to call the guards on him. ‘Who let you in? What do you want?’

"I want you to admit that you're a murderer." Astrid said simply.

‘And why would I do that?’ Chester said.

"Because I'll make your life a living hell otherwise. I could take you to court if I wanted to." Astrid shrugged. "Or I could decide you're far too unstable to rule, and host a little.... meeting. Who knows?"
"You can't just barge in here and threaten him." Jayden snapped. -
That did scare Chester. But he figured his threats were empty. At least, he hoped. ‘Besides, y-you have no proof. You can’t prove I’m unstable. I could get the guards to throw you out before you get a chance to do anything.’

"Who needs proof when everyone already believes you? Chester Jackson; unstable murderer and former king. Has a nice ring to it, right?"

‘I can easily disprove it. Half of your kingdom hates you, I doubt they’ll believe you over me.’

"You're not a popular leader yourself. You really want to place bets on who they'll believe?"

Chester clenched his jaw. 'I'm not going to "admit" to anything.'

"Suit yourself." Astrid shrugged. "Have fun getting dethroned."

'You don't have the power to do such a thing. You're not second in line to the Eastern throne and the only people backing you is the Council.'

"You haven't heard what the other rulers are saying about you, huh?"
