Jayden grinned.

Chester beamed.

Jayden snuggled closer into him before trying to fall asleep.

Chester smiled, hugging him close. He eventually fell asleep.

Jayden held him close, snoring lightly.

Chester snuggled close in his sleep. The next morning, his face was buried in Jayden’s hair, and he was trying not to cry.

Jayd felt his tight grip and woke up to him crying. He immediately sat up and held Chester in his arms. "I've got you."

Chester buried his face in Jayden’s shirt, clinging to him.

Jayden held him close. "Darling, it's okay. I'm right here. Everyone is safe."

Chester clung to him, trying to convince himself everything was okay. He eventually calmed down and sniffled.

Jayd kissed the top of his head. "Nightmare?"

Chester nodded, wiping his eyes

"Could you tell me what it's about?" Jayden asked softly.

‘Just the usual,’ Chester mumbled, clinging to him. ‘People dying, dead people haunting me, stuff like that.’
