Jayden pulled him closer. Selfish and stupid, doing it in front of his grandparents, he knew that. He just wanted him close to him.

Chester let him, wrapping an arm around him. Margaret rolled her eyes, disgusted, and walked into her room. Her husband followed, wrinkling his nose at Jayden.

Jayden frowned, leaning into Chester slightly. "Can we go now?" He asked him quietly.

‘Of course,’ Chester said softly, sighing. He walked back down the halls. ‘I’m sorry about them.’

"It's fine." Jayden gave a half smile. "I'll adapt."

Chester gave a weak smile back and looked down.

Jayd frowned. "You okay?"

‘Of course,’ Chester said quietly. ‘Just, not looking forward to dinner.’

"I get it." Jayden paused. "worried that there will be fights, worried because of your grandparents, or just worried?"

‘All of the above.’

Jayd nodded. "If it ever gets to be too much, tell me."

Chester nodded, pulling him closer. ‘Okay.’

Jayden smiled, kissing him quickly.

Chester blushed, smiling.

Jayd grinned. "Do you want to go to your room?"
