Maeve looked at Oliver. "Can I light fireworks again?" -
Oliver rolled his eyes. ‘No. We’re leaving in, like, 40 minutes.’

Maeve grumbled. "Jayden, can I bring the fireworks home?"
Jayden glanced at her and then Chester. "Is that okay with you?" -
Chester rolled his eyes. ‘Sure, go ahead.’

Maeve cheered. "YES! Thank you thank you thank you!"

Chester sighed. ‘I’m gonna regret that,’ he muttered.

"Yup." Jayden and Oliver said at the same time.

Chester chuckled and pat Jayden’s head. ‘Can you get off me so I can make sure I’ve packed everything, my love?’

Jayden grumbled, getting off of him. "Fine." He huffed.
