‘Well, I refuse to change into a human until you admit you’re the cutest thing in existence. So you can’t kiss or cuddle me,’ Chester said, booping Jayden’s nose, then morphing into a worm.

Jayden huffed. "Fine then." He stood up and walked out of the room, knowing that he'd come back in a minute or two. "Come find me when you change your mind, love."

Chester morphed into a red panda and huff-quacked in dismay.

Jayd paused, looking at him with a grin like when you see the most adorable puppy on the street and you just want to steal it forever. "Oh my god, you're so cute it's not faiiiir." He walked back to him and wrapped him in a hug.

Chester huff-quacked happily and snuggled into his arms despite what he’d said 30 seconds ago.

Jayden grinned. "I love you."

Chester huff-quacked in response and nuzzled Jayden’s chest.

Jayd chuckled. "See? I told you that you were the cutest thing in the world."

Chester morphed into a rat and climbed onto Jayden’s shoulder in defiance.

Jayden looked him in the eyes. "Really?"

Chester squeaked.

"Why can't you just believe that you're the cutest?"

Chester blinked. He morphed into a parrot.

"Oh good god, what're you going to yell at me for now?"
