Chester huff-quacked in dismay and squirmed in his arms.

Jayden shook his head. "Nope. You chose to shape-shift into a snuggleable animal, you get to deal with the consequences."

Chester kept squirming, trying to wriggle out of Jayden’s grip.

Jayd didn't let him. He wrapped him in his arms tightly enough that he couldn't squirm out of his way even if he wanted to.

Chester whined and gave up, going limp in his arms grumpily.

Jayden smiled softly. "Sorry." He said, not really sorry.

Chester huff-quacked and snuggled into his arms.

Jayd pet the top of his fluffy head.

Chester leaned into his touch.

Jayden grinned.

Chester huff-quacked. They got to the dinging hall.

Jayd sat down, letting Chester sit on his lap. "No running off." He commanded. "You're staying here and eating food."

Chester huff-quacked and settled in his lap, doing as he said.

Jayd smiled. "Thanks." He looked up at Oliver, Cleverly, and Maeve. "How are you guys?"

Chester rested his head on Jayden’s stomach. Oliver chuckled. ‘I’m good.’ Cleverly looked at Chester, clearly bewildered.
