"I don't know yet." Jasmine thought about it. She really didn't have any idea, instead of just not telling them to keep it a secret. "Maybe i'll make a shelter in Sennaya Square. My mentor took me there once so i could see what all i could fix. But then again, the Tsar isn't looking for someone to fix all the problems in the country. He needs an enchanter who is willing to fight." Sennaya Square was home to the less fortunate. Beggars, theives, all sorts of people you didn't want to be around. Setting up some kind of shelter could end really well or really horribly. She leaned in and dropped her voice. "Some say there's an uprising starting in the south of russia."
-
Robin's eyes widened. "Really?" He didn't hear about this from his mentor. "What kind of uprising? Why?" He stopped himself before he could ask too many questions.
-
"They say the Tsar isn't doing enough for them. They're being overworked and underfed." She glanced around, checking for eavesdroppers. None were listening. If the wrong person heard them, to the chopping block they'd go.
-
Robin's eyebrows knit together. He wasn't sure how to take that information. "That's... Terrible." He admit, voice barely an audible whisper. He looked up at Jasmine. "You're not allowed to tell anyone I said that, though."
-
"Of course. You'd be dead within the week. And not by my hands, or should i say magic, unfortunately." Jasmine shrugged.
-
Unfortunately? Robin thought in terror. He knew that's what they had to do, but the way she said it so calmly unnerved him. "Yeah, true."
-
Jasmine bit back a smile at his reaction. "Well, we should probably get away from each other, we don't want to ruin each other's plans. Anyways, i'm sure the scar's killing you at this point, i'd better leave you to planning." At that, she scooped up her bread, book, and tea, and swiftly left the cafe.
-
She left before the words "Goodbye," could even leave Robin's mouth. He subconsciously picked at his napkin nervously, little bits of the paper-like material all over the table. They realized after he picked half of it off. "Oh shoot..."
