Robin noticed Jasmine and raised their eyebrows. There was no other table to sit at. He walk towards her nervously. "If I sit next to you will you promise not to kill me?"
-
Jasmine gave a forced nod. "Seeing as it isn't my turn, i can't kill you." She said, staring straight ahead. "So i'll allow you to sit here if you promise not to kill me." A very, very small smile turned her lips up at the corners.
-
"I swear, I won't kill you." Robin said, sitting down nervously. "Besides, that'd be kinda anticlimactic to kill you in one turn."
-
"True. But who needs anything like that? The only people who know about our magic is the Tsar, our mentors, and us. And our mentors are all the way in most likely Siberia. Who needs a show? It's only about one thing; Power. The Tsar needs someone to help battle opposing countries and rebellions. Not a jester in his court." Jasmine responded.
-
Robin nodded. "I suppose so." He said with a hint of a smile. "Although they'd be lying if nobody admit that this whole elaborate game is necessary in the first place."
-
"Well, it is. The power that russia generates is split and not infinite, so only one enchanter can survive so that all of the power is in only one person." Jasmine said
-
Robin shrugged. “They still didn’t have to make us kill each other. That parts absolutely terrifying.” He admit, surprised that she had so much information on it.
-
"Well how else would they decide?" Jasmine asked, visibly confused.
-
“I dunno, they could do some kinda test to see how powerful we are without us killing each other?” Robin said quietly.
-
"Maybe it's part of the whole thing. The Tsar won't want an enchanter that's afraid to kill." Jasmine shrugged.
-
Robin didn’t say anything about that, worried that if that was the test he’d definitely fail.
-
"Hmph. Have any idea on what your first move will be?" Jasmine said, raising an eyebrow, curious to see if they would indulge her.
-
"I.... I don't know." Robin admit. "Maybe I'll make some sort of teleportation portal to get to that hill so that next time someone has to go there they don't have to hike all the way up."
-
"Hm." Jasmine didn't say that revealing your move was a dangerous idea. It gave her an advantage: a chance to plan ahead.
-
Robin looked at Jasmine. "What about you? What do you think your first move will be?" They were genuinely curious, and wanted to know more about the person he'd have to kill.
