Hazel rolled her eyes. -
"I DIDN'T! Are you STUPID?!" Jackie screamed back.

'Jackie!' Hazel snapped.

"She's yelling at me for something I didn't do!" Jackie argued.
"You DID!" Lilla yelled. -
'You're four years older, you can't call your little sister stupid!' Hazel snapped. She felt like the parent. Like she was doing the job her father was supposed to be doing.

Jackie glared at Hazel, but didn't say anything to argue and stormed into his room, slamming the door shut.

Hazel huffed. 'Lilla, check under your bed or in the wash or something for your doll. Why would Jackie have it?'

"To be mean!" Lilla said angrily. "It's not in my room!"

'Jackie's not mean, Lilla. Ask one of the cousins. Maybe Milla has it.'

Lilla ran down the stairs. "MILLA!"

Hazel sighed. 'Dad should be taking care of this, not me,' she mumbled, walking to her bedroom.

"You alright?" Theo asked, following her.

'I'm fine,' Hazel sighed. She shut the door after them and sat on her bed. She rubbed her temples.

"You sure?" Theo asked, sitting next to her.

'Yep,' Hazel mumbled, leaning her head on his shoulder.
