"Yes Harriet but are "they" male or female?"
"Neither?" Harriet sighed. "Ill keep him under control, don't worry Miss" she gave a small smile and dragged Michael to the station. -

'Oi!' Michael snapped, yanking their wrist from Harriet's grip. They followed her to the workstation, sticking their hands in their pockets.

"Honestly, I don't get you sometimes" she hissed with a glare.

Michael frowned. 'What's that supposed to mean?'

"I'm tryna be nice or have a conversation with you and you have a go at me, I just saved you from having to work in the boys stations and I don't even get a thanks!"

Michael narrowed their eyes at her. 'O Harriet, thank you for saving me from the stinky boys,' they said sarcastically. 'That better?'

"You chose to work over here today, if you don't want to stop wasting my time and get over there" she snapped starting to wash the uniform.

Michael made a huffing sound but did the same as Harriet. They didn't see the point to arguing any more, despite the pride in their head that wanted to.

Harriet rolled her eyes as she continued to mangle the disgusting uniform. She wished she was younger where the only work they had to do was sewing up seams in dresses and fixing trousers. This was definitely pushing the boundaries of child labour.

I'm super sorry, I might need to quit this. I can't stay committed to it and I'm trying to focus on other projects before school starts, which will inevitably take all my free time.))
