Geistaz began to stop tiptoeing as they got closer.

'Where d'you think Mortimer will be?'

"Maybe somewhere up here?"

'Probably,' Morrigan shrugged, continuing up the stairs.

Geistaz followed. "But what if he's not there?"

'Uhm... We keep looking?'

"Oh."

'I don't know.'

"That's fine. We'll just do what you suggested," Geistaz said quietly

'Alright,' Morrigan whispered, glancing around.

Geistaz got to the top of the stairs, barely avoiding the hole in it.

'You were right, he isn't sweeping.'

"Yep! Lucky guess."

'Where else would he be, though?'
