Willow smiles, trying to look optimistic. "thanks." she says.
(btw, with the short story, do you want a happy ending or a sad ending?) -

Willow looks at Paxton, a curious expression on her face. "what do you think the boggart is going to be for you?" she asks, head tilted slightly.

"G-good question...guess we'll just have to find out then, won't we?" Paxton replies, nervously.

Willow looks back at the Professor. "it's probably going to be a dog for me..." she says, mumbling, embarrassed.

Paxton quirks an eyebrow at Willow, "Why dogs? You don't like puppies?" His voice cracks as if he was actually hurt by that statement.

Willow looks at him again, a sad smile on her face. "a dog almost killed me when i was little." she explains. "i was out in a forest alone somewhere near my home, and next thing i know a dog was on me, mauling me. i screamed but for a minute no one came. luckily some strangers were nearby and helped me." she pulls down the shoulder of her robe to expose a thin white scar from her neck to her shoulder blade. "this is the only scar that i have from it, the others healed."

"Well, I guess you won't be coming to my family's house anytime soon. We have a dog, BUT HE'S A GOODY BOY I SWEAR-" Paxton exclaims, pouting.

"i'm sure he is." Willow says, pulling the shoulder of her robe back up. she starts paying attention to the Professor again.

"Form a line. The first years go in front." Professor Sullivan states.

Willow gets up, trying not to be close to the front or the back, as people tend to remember both the people who go first and last. she lets her hair down out of the messy bun, twisting her hair around her finger, a nervous habit.

Paxton's impulse took over and he ruffles his hand through Willow's hair. "YOUR HAIR IS SO SOFT- What is your secret??"

Willow smiles. "thanks! i just use a conditioner for curly hair, nothing too special." she says, laughing a bit.
