Willow picks up some of the ingredients, looking at the instructions. "add six snake fangs to the mortar and crush into a fine powder." she says, grabbing the mortar and pestle.

Paxton puts the six snake fangs into the mortar and starts crushing them. "Is this good?" He shows Willow the powder of snake fang dust.

she peers into the mortar. "hm, looks good enough." she says, then looks at the instructions again. "Take the cauldron off the fire before adding the next ingredient. Add dried nettles and horned slugs." she takes the cauldron off the fire, and grabs the dried nettles and horned slugs. "add two porcupine quills."

Paxton picks up two porcupine quills. "What do I do with these? Put them into the cauldron, right?"

"yes, hm... weird, it doesn't say what to do with the Snake fangs after crushing them." she says, looking at the book.

Paxton puts the quills into the cauldron. "Perhaps we should ask Professor Slughorn...?"

Willow raises her hand, and Professor Slughorn comes over. "yes, students?" he asks.

"The instructions don't say what to do with the snake fang powder... we were wondering what we're supposed to do with it?" Paxton inquires.

"Hm, that is wierd. It is supposed to say to add it to the couldron." He says, waddling away.

Paxton looks at Willow, "Maybe it was a typo or something." He pours the powder into the cauldron.

she looks into the cauldron. "hopefully it doesn't blow up in our faces..." she says jokingly.

A look of pure fear appeared on Paxton's face. "D-don't even joke about stuff like that..."

"oh, don't worry. it's only happened a couple times." she says, looking back at the book. "Stir 5 times, clockwise. then, Wave your wand to complete the potion." she starts stirring the concoction.

Paxton waits until its done and then waves his hand over the concoction.

they wait for Professor Slughorn to come over, and he looks into the cauldron. "looks about right." he says, and waddles away again
