Leif hops into Maurice's other hand, snuggling up into his palm. "Aw, Leif likes you." Olive gushes.

Karentina gasps, looking at Reese. "Reese, the chipmunk whisperer!" she says with a dramatic flair.

"He is one with the rodents." Olive laughs.

"Actually, a frog is an amphibian, not a rodent. Sheesh, I am on a roll today. I can almost understand what the animals are saying."

"I- I was talking about Chip but go off-" Olive shrugs.

Karentina stifles a laugh, then zones out, thinking.

"What's on your mind, Tina?" Olive inquires.

Karentina jolts back to reality. "Oh, sorry. I just zoned out." She says, an apologetic smile on her face.

"It looked like you were in deep thought..." Olive comments.

Karentina looks at Olive. "no, it's just this reminded me of a book i read recently." she says.

"Oh? And what's that?" Olive asks, as she makes the popcorn, microwaving it.

"i honestly don't remember, Cecelia forced me to read it." Karentina says, thinking.

"Huh. I wonder why." Olive takes the popcorn out of the bag and pours it into a big bowl. She sits down next to Karentina, placing the bowl between them.

Karentina rolls her eyes playfully. "She forces me to read books all the time. not that i'm complaining. i love books."

"Well dang, you must love me then, because I'm an open book!" She grins at Karentina.
