Thread Topic: I just had an insane idea for some characters
-
So in my Modern-Fantasy world, i have shapeshifters.
i had the bats--- insane idea yesterday that ((BY HUMAN STANDARDS)) all shapeshifters are neurodivergent.
Cyrus is neurodivergent... by shapeshifter standards.
This.
I want to work with this idea... any feedback? -
anyone?
please i wanna know what you guys think about this idea -
neurodivergent in what way?
-
like
Adhd gremlin sort of way
i guess
or whatever could be considered neurodivergent i suppose
but mostly adhd/add gremlin -
I mean if it's the norm for the species then it ceases to be neurodivergence, but I think a species of off the ceiling gremlins would be cool
-
I mean, when you can get them going they'll probably shift into something stupid
-
As an actual ADHD diagnosed gremlin, I take this as a compliment. This is utter FACTS.
-
As an ADHD child, that's very good
-
ADHD gremlin shapeshifter: Oh crap I'm gonna sneeze- *EXPLOSION* *the smoke clears* *has turned into a bottle of MAYO-*
-
Well shapeshifters can only turn into living things due to their general nature, so it would be more like *transforms into flame dragon*
And maybe not even that, since what a shapeshifter can become is based off how nourished they are. -
True, but wouldn't it be funny if they could turn into inanimate objects too? But that's just me. Or like: *turns into a funky li'l crow birb*
-
Yea, it would be funny. Technically, since sand golems exist and they are... sand, they can transform into sand golems, then take the form of like... a sandcastle, or something.
-
Y E S . And crabs LIVE on the sand golem, decorated with sand dollars and seashells. Perhaps if it's more of a desert type thing, a scorpion instead of a crab.
-
Actually, uh, sand golems don't generally hang around beaches, they're native to deserts. Any beaches with sand golems are evacuated almost immediately, and beaches generally aren't big enough to sustain a sand golem. Though smaller sand golems have been seen doing what you describe, however.
