“Alright,” Tommy said with a nod, stepping towards the desk.
Dream watched George for a moment, frowning as he saw him yawn. -
George quickly signed, his energy depleting as he handed the quill to Dream. He leaned back and rubbed his eyes again, trying to wake himself up.
-
Dream frowned deeper, quickly dipping the quill in ink again and signing it. He held his hand up, letting Tommy take the quill before turning his attention to George. “Are you alright?”
Tommy took the quill, quickly writing his signature under George’s like he was told. -
George shook his head, blinking rapidly. "Hmm, oh, yeah, perfectly fine. Just a little tired, that's all." He said, yawning again.
-
“Is that all?” Tommy asked, putting the quill down.
“Yes, Tommy,” Dream answered plainly. Tommy nodded thanking George for his time and leaving without another word. -
George nodded at Tommy before shaking his head. "I should work on the letters to Quackity and Karl. You can stay if you want, Dream, or you can go off and do something else."
-
“Nope, c’mon,” Dream said, moving in front of George and scooping him up. “You’re going to sleep.”
-
George didn't protest, knowing that he would probably fall asleep anyway. "You should too then." He said quickly, yawning again.
-
“I’ll try, I will,” Dream said, closing the door to George’s office before heading to his room, making sure his boyfriend was comfortable.
-
George nuzzled against Dream, sleepily smiling up at him. "Thank you." He mumbled, playing with the strings on Dream's hoodie.
Gold woke up to see no one else but Lem and it scared him. He whined, squirmed out of Lem's grasp and went upstairs to see if Skeppy and Bad were up there. An increasing sense of abandonment filled the boy and he tried not to cry. -
“Of course, love,” Dream said with a smile. Once they made it to the room, the blonde quietly closes the door and set George down on the bed before snuggling next to him.
-
George stretched a little, curling up next to Dream. He buried his face in Dream's hoodie, inhaling softly. "I love you, Dream. You've done so much for me since you got here."
Gold sobbed, feeling lost, but forced himself to look into his dad and uncle's bedroom, hoping they were there. He quietly made his way to the bedside noticing the two of them and trying to quiet down and climb in bed with them without waking them up. -
Dream smiled, wrapping the blanket around them. “I love you too.”
Skeppy, being the annoyingly light sleeper he is, stirred awake. “What?” He mumbled groggily. -
George hummed quietly, yawning sleepily. He dozed off, squeezing Dream tightly, even though he tried to stay awake.
Gold bit his lip, trying not to cry anymore. "It-It's me, Uncle Skeppy. I- I didn't see you when I woke up..." He started to tremble as he tried to hold back his tears and the feeling of being abandoned he still had. -
Dream smiled, holding George close.
“Hey, it’s okay,” Skeppy mumbled, turning and lifting up the blanket as an invitation for Gold. “Cmere, it’s still dark out.”
