"Uh," George mumbled, glancing around and searching his sheets before reaching blindly and grabbing it and hesitantly handing it to Clay.

"Can you unlock it for me?" Clay asked softly. He leaned back and wiped the tears off of his friend's face.

George flinched, nodding. He took the phone back for a moment, unlocked it, and gave it back.

Clay nodded and shifted himself and George around so that he could put his back against the headboard. He reached over so that he could turn on the lamp, and then dialed Matthew's number.

Matthew glanced at the phone, smirking to himself as he picked up. "Hello, baby-"
George cringed, smothering a sob. -
"Oh, so you abuse him, cheat on him, and now you're calling him baby?" Clay made his voice deeper than normal, he figured hopefully it'd help. "I heard you're coming to visit-"

"What the f--- are you doing?" Matthew spat. "I thought this was George, who is this?"

"This is one of his friends." Clay said sternly. "Matthew, you're not coming here." He said simply.

"And why not?" Matthew returned. "George said he'd love for me to come."
George curled up at the words, a quiet cry coming from him.
Matthew smirked. "Isn't that right, George? You want me to come and get you?" -
"No. You tricked him into saying that. You and I both know it. He doesn't want to be anywhere near you." Clay said angrily.

"Do we both know that?" Matthew said. "I was also asking George, not you. Georgie?"
George flinched at the nickname. "M-Matthew st-stop."
"Why the quick attitude change? I thought you loved me," Matthew said sadly. -
"He did love you. But you ruined that by being a lying, cheating, abusive motherf**cker! He clearly wants you to f**king stop. So back off. Get out of his house, get out of his damn life, and leave him alone!" Clay said furiously.

"What right do you have to tell me that? I do-" Matthew started.
"Matthew, st-stop," George interrupted, snuffling. "Don't harass him t-too. This is it. Th- This is the end of it. All of it."
"You're really breaking up with me, George?" Matthew said threateningly. "Is that really a good idea?"
"Stop that," George said quietly. "I don't like that." -
Clay's voice was practically a growl. "I could end you, your reputation, all of it. So don't you DARE speak to him that way,"

"How? How could you possibly? You don't have any evidence," Matthew retorted.
