Karl was pacing back and forth in the kitchen, thinking over everything Dream had told them when they had gotten up. "I guess Clay really told him off-"
Clay glanced down the hallway. "I want to check on him but I'm afraid to-" -
"I don't really want to know," Nick said, flipping a pancake onto a plate.
-
"Wait know what?" Karl asked. "Did I miss something?"
Clay glanced over at the drinks on the counter and grabbed a monster. -
"Know exactly what Clay said to Matthew," Nick replied, somewhat quietly.
-
"I could have said worse-" Clay retorted. "I should have."
Karl grabbed the syrup from the fridge and placed it on the counter. "I bet he'll leave George alone now. Judging by the look on Clay's face, he better." -
"I mean, he's obviously not very happy," Nick said, shrugging as he put the rest of the pancakes on the plate.
-
Clay glanced over at the pancakes and grabbed a plate. "I'm taking some to George." He said sadly.
-
"Not until you eat some yourself," Nick stated, giving him a look.
-
"I'm fine." Clay protested as he moved over to grab some pancakes for George.
-
"Clay, you haven't eaten any real food in a while, please eat something," Nick said.
-
"I will later." Clay poured syrup onto the pancakes and grabbed a fork from the drawer.
Karl glared at Clay. "You're worse than I am-"
"So?" Clay retorted. -
"Okay- okay," Nick said, placing a hand on Karl's shoulder. "Let's not get into an argument right now. Clay, you will eat something later, but you can go bring that to George."
-
Clay sighed and left the room. He carried the plate down the hallway and knocked on George's door. "Hey, are you okay?"
Karl glared down at the floor and crossed his arms in front of him. -
George had fallen asleep and did not hear Clay through the door.
"Karl," Nick said with a frown. "Please don't be mad." -
Clay slowly opened the door and peered inside. "Oh, awwww." He whispered when he saw George. He entered the room and shut the door behind him. "Gey, George?" He called gently.
"I'm not mad at you-" Karl stated. "It's just that he literally throws every aspect of his own health aside to help everyone else. You do as well, but you're not quite as bad about it. Then on top of that, he'll do the same thing I do and forget to eat or do anything."
