"Looks like I'm both then!" Morrigan said, blushing. wait why the f*** am I blushing!?!?!?!?
"It's fine! I'm just being a sarcastic prick." Morrigan looked down at her sketch of a scene that looked like a garden from the future. it was just as technological as it was natural. -
"No, your not a prick," Matthew said with a chuckle. "Anyways, do you want to go get coffee again tomorrow? Since our little da-" he cut himself off with a cough, "get-together today was cut short?"

Wait...he almost said "date" I f***ing heard it! Morrigan blushed again. "Yeah absolutely! Hopefully, it doesn't get crashed by another villain or anything jesus christ!" -

"Awesome, Jumpin Beans still good?" Matthew asked, a sappy smile plastered on his face. -
"Wasn't that entire block blown up earlier by Parallex...?" Morrigan asked.

"Oh, was it?" Matthew paused, furrowing his eyebrows. "How stupid of me, sorry. Do you want to go anywhere else in that case?"

"I'm not sure if it was...but you left to go back out. I'm asking you. You said you'd have a look around so I assumed you'd see." Morrigan said. "Was it?"

"Uh," Matthew said, silently panicking. He glanced over at his uncle, who nodded. "Yeah, it was kinda bad. They'll probably shut the road down at least."

if you say so... "Looks like we can't go there then!" Morrigan said with a laugh. "You pick wherever, I really don't mind." -
"Uh," Matthew said with another pause. "How about Starbucks? There's one near me, is that near you?"

"Yeah, that'll be fine!" Morrigan said. Her voice gave away how excited she was to see him again. She could practically hear herself smiling.

"Awesome," Matthew said with a smile, he loved hearing how excited she was. "I'll text with you about time?"

"Yup!" Morrigan replied. She checked the time. "Oh my god, it's 11:57 p.m. Jeez...."

"Damn, really?" Matthew said, looking over to his uncle, who shrugged. I've been driving around in circles for a while so you can talk to your girlfriend, he mouthed with a smirk.
"Well, I'm getting home now, I'll see you! Bye love," He said quietly before quickly hanging up, groaning at himself and facepalming.
"What was that?" His uncle said with a chuckle.
"Shut up," He retorted, looking out the window. -
Morrigan heard Matthew say "Bye, Love." And then he hung up.
She sat there in shock for about ten minutes. "L-Love?" She said. I- um....LOVE!? ... I'm so confused. I must have misheard him. Yeah, I misheard. But what if I didn't??
Besides being confused, she felt sad that she didn't get the chance to say it back.
