“Is everything ready?” Gilbert J. Kelphin asked his assistant as they walked down the halls. “Yes, the reception room is decorated, refreshments are prepared, the dorms are ready, the classrooms are fully prepared, the training room is completed, and the presentation is ready to go.” Farrah Den replied confidently. “Excellent. When do they get here?” Gilbert replied. “They should be here in ten minutes or less, assuming they’re on time.” Farrah replied. “Alright. How do I look?” He asked, spreading out his arms so his assistant could examine him. “Exactly how a CEO should look, Mr. Kelphin.” Farrah assured him. “For the last time Farrah, Mr. Kelphin was my grandfather, call me Gil.” Gilbert chuckled before entering the reception room.
Sonia was sitting in the back of her father’s car, watching the sunset out her window as she pondered about what her life may be like from here on out. Suddenly the car jerked to a stop, and she let out a yelp as frost covered her window. It faded as quickly as it had appeared while she took deep breaths to calm down, her Dad swearing quietly under his breath as her Pa calmed him down. “It’s alright hun, we’re fine. Just keep driving.” Her Pa assured him. “That girl just ran right across the road!” Her Dad yelled, gesturing to a silhouette that was now running down the sidewalk. “I know dear, just keep driving.” Her Pa soothed. Her Dad nodded before continuing the drive.
Sonia watched the girl curiously out her window as they drove past her. Suddenly the girl turned invisible, and Sonia blinked her eyes, then decided that the girl was probably one of the members of the super hero group she was joining. She could ask her why she was running in front of cars at the reception. -
Izumi was in her older sister's, Asoka's car. "Now Izumi you have any other questions? Cause we are ten minutes away from your superhero team." Asoka said as she stopped at the red light. "Yeah. Have you ever been their before?" Izumi asked nervously. "Yes. They have high expectations." Asoka said frowning. Izumi shuddered at that thought. She was scared. It was her first day at Gilcorp. She looked at her phone. She scrolled through her pictures of her and her friends Amy and Rosie. Today Izumi was ready. "Ok." Izumi said encouragingly.

The twins sat on opposite sides of their car, glancing at each other every once in a while but not saying anything. Their parents muttered things to each other in the front, quiet enough so that the two couldn't hear.
But they knew that they were talking about the chaotic twins, who somehow got the opposite powers in the accident.
Hailey ran as quickly as possible down the street and towards the building that she was supposed to go to. She had tried to cover every inch of her body as possible so that no one could see her weird fox form, which she didn't have any control over, and at the moment she was cringing in pain. -
Rin hummed quietly in amusement as he jogged lightly down the street, amused at the sound of his bare feet clacking against the sidewalk as he ran. He still wasn't quiet used to having zero flesh, But he had to admit it had its perks for someone who was homeless like him. First off, he didn't have to worry about getting to cold or hot anymore, and he didn't need to eat nearly as much as he used too. He noticed some people looked at him strangely and just cackled as he continued jogging, enjoying being a certified cryptid now

Leon drove with his sister, Angela, down to their first day at Gilcorp to be a part of the hero team. Angela was nervous as always with her holding her legs and looking out the window. Leon could see how nervous she was and started playing her favorite song on his phone, It Sucks to be Me from Avenue Q.

Frogger uncomfortably fidgeted in his taxi, pulling his hoodie strings until his face was no longer visible. He wasn't sure why HE had to go, but he wasn't exactly going to reject an invitation as important as Mr. Kelphin.
Anadoris flew above all the traffic, all the noise, using echolocation to see where she was. She swerved through the clouds, holding a GPS in her hands. Maybe she should have just taken a car, like a normal human being. -
“Alright, we’re here! Do you have everything you need?” Her Pa asked once the Gilcorp building came into through. Sensing that Sonia was nervous, Chester nuzzled her knee, causing her to chuckle and pet him as she grabbed her bag. “Yeah I think so.” She replied as her Dad searched for a parking spot. “Alright, now remember if you need anything we’re only a twenty minute drive from here. Don’t hesitate to call or text, and if you can’t answer our calls or texts right away, make sure to do so as soon as you’re able to.” Her Pa instructed. “I know Pa, I know. Don’t worry, I’ll be fine.” Sonia assured him with a smile as they pulled in.
“Should we attend the reception?” Her Pa asked her Dad as they pulled into park. “The invitation says we can if we want to. Probably a good idea to talk to Kelphin anyways, considering our daughter is going to be risking her life for him and all.” Her Dad muttered. “Dad, I’ll be fine. DHI helped me control my powers, but I want to put them to use. Besides, I might make some friends here, didn’t you want me to start making better friends? What better friends can I make than super heroes?” Sonia reasoned as they got out of the call. “Still, it’s for the best we meet him.” Her Dad replied. “Let’s go then, I don’t know about you two, but I’m excited! Our neighbours keep bragging about their sons getting on a sports team or winning a spelling bee or whatever else, wait till I tell Katherine our daughter’s a super hero!” Her Pa cheered, ruffling Sonia’s hair as her Dad locked the car. “Thanks Pa.” Sonia chuckled.
“Mr. Kel- I mean… Gil, one of the applicants have arrived.” Farrah announced as Sonia and her parents entered the building. “Tell Lance to take them here.” Gilbert ordered. She nodded and clicked a small earpiece to carry on the message.
When Sonia and her fathers entered the building, they were greeted by a well dressed man behind the counter. “Hello there, my name is Lance Gardner. You must be the Garcias.” He greeted, exiting the counter and offering his hand to her Dad. The two men shook hands as he nodded. “Yes, my name is Phil, this is my Husband William.” Her Dad introduced. “Which would make you Sonia then.” Lance told Sonia, who nodded as she looked around the fancy lobby. “Wonderful, I’ll take you to the Reception room. Right this way.” Lance cheered before taking them to the elevator. -
Izumi got out of the car. Her legs were shaking. "Bye sis." Asoka said smiling. "B-bye." Izumi said stuttering. Izumi walked into the building with her bag. "I wish my mom was here so I can smile at her." Izumi said aloud. "Now time to find the reception room. breathe in and out. she told herself.

The twins' got out of the car, waving to their parents. "Bye, mom and dad! We'll miss you!" Dawn squeaked out for the first time since the car ride started. Dusk continued to stay quiet, only waving as the car drove off.
Dawn looked at his twin, smiling softly. "Dusk, we'll figure this out together. Please don't act like this." He grabs his twin's hands, wincing in pain as his flowers start to slowly die. Dusk pulls away, also having a pained look. "Don't do that without warning." Dusk muttered, starting to walk away. "Let's go."
Hailey makes it to the building, getting inside before the two other people could. Once inside, she pulls off her hoodie, revealing her fox ears and face. "That was painful." She complained quietly, looking around aimlessly. -
Rin slowed down as he neared the building, keeping an eyesocket out for any cars as he made his way to the entrance. He noticed a fair number of younger people making their way in the same direction, causing him to tilt his head before shrugging and heading inside
(So I just realized that Rin is the oldest and now I'm imagining the 'we need an adult' meme with him) -
OMG YES LOL))

“Hello there, I’m Jane Reffer.” A woman with long red hair greeted as some more applicants entered, walking over to them. “I’m assuming you’re all applicants for the Hero Program?” She asked, offering a hand for each of them to shake.
-
Hailey whipped her head towards the woman, putting on a small smile. "Oh, yes." She said in response, shaking her hand lightly.
Dusk folds his arms against his chest, seeming nervous. Dawn happily shook the woman's hand, shooting a look at his sibling. "Yeah, me and my twin."
(I have realized there is no posting order, so yay.) -
Rin looked around the lobby curiously, stopping to shake the woman's hand "yeah, im not late am i?" He asked, making a little rattling sound
-
“You’re all right on time, thank you for coming. Allow me to show you to the Reception Hall.” Jane replied, leading them to the elevator that Lance was now returning from.
Meanwhile, Sonia and her fathers had arrived, and Gilbert greeted them happily. “Ah, Sonia Garcia, I see your fathers have decided to attend. What a pleasure to meet you all.” He greeted. He wasn’t surprised that Sonia was still living with her parents despite being nearly thirty. It was quite common in this economy for that to be the case. “I’d like to get to know you before I allow my daughter to participate in this project of yours.” Her Dad warned, crossing his arms as her Pa rubbed his shoulders.
“Now now Phil, I’m sure Mr. Kelphin-“ Her Pa began. “Please, call me Gil. And I assure you, your daughter will be perfectly safe. Besides, she is an adult, I’m sure she can decide for herself what’s best for her. But I understand your concern.” Mr. Kelphin assured them. Sonia’s dad simply grunted in response. “Come, let’s sit and chat. Would you like to join us Sonia?” Gilbert offered. Sonia shrugged. “Nah, I’m good. Good luck with Dad.” She replied before heading for the snack table.
