Ruby nodded. Listening to Zack's father scold him, Ruby couldn't tell whether she should feel sorry for him or not. I mean, his father seemed to be awful, but then again, Zack did abuse her... Ruby shook her head violently and put her head in her hands.

Zack's dad continued, "The mafia was suppose to raise a man only they show me a child. A pathetic child, you should have been killed at birth." His dad shook his head and glared at Zack.

Ruby looked at Zack with, yeah, that was sympathy. Ruby was a very empathetic person, and even though he hurt her, she couldn't help but feel bad for him, with his father never approving of him and even wishing that he was killed at birth. It was terrible, she admitted it.

His dad then seem to raise his voice, "Get that thing out of my sight." He pointed at his son like he was a peace of garbage.

Ruby looked at Zack with more empathy as his father said that.

A couple guards came out on the floor and lead him away into one of the many hallways of the building.
One of the second in charge spoke up, "Sir, your son Zack h..."
This seem to piss him off even more. "That is not my son, do not say that or that name around me." He glared so hard. "Ever again, got it?"
The room seem to nod at his warning. -
Ruby turned to Max, mouthing "what now?"

"We have to go see him." Max seem to understand what had just happened, his dad was a horrible person.
As they left they neared a room that might have Zack in it they heard sobbing noises. Max motioned for them to stop and tapped on of the guards on the shoulder. She whispered something in his ear and he entered the room. -
Ruby waited patiently. She wanted to go into the room but she wasn't sure what she was allowed to do yet.

The guard came back out of the room and nodded at Max like they had a secret of their own. The sobbing noise stopped and Zack came out and frowned. HIs eyes were red and he kept on squeezing his fist.

Ruby, looking up at Zack, not exactly knowing why, wanted to ask if he was ok and if there was anything she could do. Zack was an ass, but even asses had their problems- that's usually the reason they act that way.

"We should go to the room, Ruby." Max said and she leaned over towards Zack. Trying to whisper lightly she said, "You may want to go down to the jail cells, we don't want you trying to kill yourself again." Not being good at whispering quietly, Max was sure Ruby heard everybit of what she said.

She nodded at Max. "Ok," she said gently. Then Ruby heard Max's words, her blue eyes widened slightly and her mouth opened a bit. Oh God...

Max grabbed her arm and dragged her down the hallway before Zack saw her look. Zack was walking away towards some stairs with the guard Max had been talking to following him.

Ruby walked with MAx down the hallway and back to the room. "Ehe!?" Was all she could say.
