Amelia slung her backpack on her back as she headed out the door. If she read the directions right she should be able to walk to school in fifteen to twenty minutes.
She was nervous, to say the least. -
Felix grabbed his bag and walked out, adjusting the beanie that rested on his wavy hair. He walked over to his car, getting in and starting it. He drove down the street, making his way to the school. He glanced around him as he drove and spotted someone, more specifically Amelia, walking in the direction to the school. He slowed down beside her and rolled the window down, looking over to her.
``Need a ride?`` -
Amelia's eyes unknowingly lit up when she saw Felix.
"You're driving on the wrong side of the road," she said.
Then she pretty much did a facepalm at her forgetfulness. "Right, you guys drive on the left side over here." -
``Yeah,`` Felix said with a chuckle, unlocking the doors. ``Come on, don't wanna be late on your first day of school,`` he added teasingly.

"Right, thanks," Amelia said and got in. It was weird having the driver to the right of you instead of the left.

Felix slowly sped back up, driving in the direction of the school. He hummed, tapping his hand against the wheel as he kept his gaze in front of him, glancing over to Amelia every once in a while.

Amelia looked out the window. Everything was pretty close, but just slightly different than what she was used to.
They arrived in a jiffy. Amelia got out of the car, looking tentatively up at the school . -

Felix got out, locking the car before walking over to where Amelia stood. ``Ready for hell? I mean, school- Nah, same thing.`` -
(the comments are more helpful than the actual thing)
"Not really but let's go in and brave the flames," Amelia said with a step forward. -

Felix chuckled and nodded, walking inside the school.
``Felix, hey!`` One of his friends called, running over to him.
``Hey, Mikey.``
``Don't call me that. Also, did you remember that project in science? Because I sure didn't.``
``The powerpoint one?``
``Yeah, that one.``
``I have it done, don't worry.`` Felix said with a chuckle.
``Oh thank f--k,`` Michael said, chuckling. He looked over, seeing Amelia at his side. ``Hi,`` he said with a warm smile, waving at her. -
"Uhh hi," she said with an awkward smile. Her eyes.had been flitting around her, noticing how she looked different than the other girls. More of them were wearing some sort of dress or skirt, some of them had leggings underneath, which contrasted with Amelia's mid-thigh length shorts and reddish-purple t-shirt.

``Are you new?`` Michael asked, arms crossed.
``Yeah, she is,`` Felix said. ``She's my new neighbor so I gave her a ride.``
``Oh, that one you you said you-`` Michael started before a hand was pulled over his mouth.
``OH-KAY. Uh, Michael, why don't you take Amelia to the front office to get signed in and get her schedule? I have to go take care of some things for work.``
``Oh, sure,`` Michael said with a nod. -
"So you're Michael?" Amelia asked. She had to memorize a whole new batch of names and wanted to make sure she had them right.
