Felix sighed, stuffing his hands in the pockets of his jacket.
Think about something else.
Think about going to the beach with Cassidy.
Think about beating your high score at the arcade.
Going to the beach with Amelia.
Watching Amelia get the high score.
``D-MNIT!`` He exclaimed, throwing his hands in the air. ``I can't stop thinking about her.. I really do like her.`` He looked up at the sky, noticing it had started raining. He stood still for a moment, letting the rain splash on his face before turning back around and walking. -
"Hey, you need to move on," Jack said.
"Yeah, me getting advice from my younger brother,' Amelia said.
"It's just a suggestion that you should really take," he countered. -
Felix stood in front of the walkway to Amelia's house, staring at it for a moment. He exhaled, wiping water away as it dripped from his hair onto his face. He walked over to house and sat down on the steps just outside of the porch, sitting in the rain with his hood now pulled off his head.
-
(Is he sitting on her porch or his?)
-
( his porch. dang it. should've proof-read lol )
-
(Alright, because I was about to have a confused 5 year old Aaron come in lol)
(Oh wait I can still do that hold on)
Aaron was outside splashing in the puddles in his rain boots and whatnot. He was allowed to play on the sidewalks of the next-door houses, no farther. He made his way over to Felix's house, even though he didn't know who Felix was.
He looked up to see someone sitting on their porch looking very sad. Aaron's mom had told him to stay on the sidewalk if he went out of their yard, but she had also told him in the past that if he saw someone who was sad to try and help them.
So this is how the fearless five-year-old approached Felix. He had the same eyes as Amelia and a similar nose as her as well.
"Why are you sad?" he asked. -
( xD )
Felix looked up, water dripping in his face. ``Oh uh, I'm fine,`` he said with a sad chuckle, running a hand through his soaked hair. ``Don't have to worry about me.`` -
"But you look sad," Aaron said with a frown. "And Mommy told me to try to help people when they're sad. Jack fixes being sad by himself. Mommy helps me give Amelia a big bowl of ice cream when she's sad."
-
Felix chuckled, a small smile on his face. ``Well, seems like you're amazing at making people happy,`` he said with a sad smile, hugging his legs to his chest.
-
"But why aren't you happy?" Aaron asked. He climbed up the steps and sat next to Felix.
-
``Well, I uh, I'm just a bit down because I like somebody,`` he explained, looking over to Aaron. ``And I don't know if the like me back. I'm- I'm also a bit scared to tell them, because I don't want to embarrass and humiliate myself. Although I highly doubt that won't happen either way.``
-
"I like french fries and hotwheels," Aaron said, kicking his heels against the stairs. "I'm not scared to like them."
-
Felix chuckled, letting go of his legs. ``Well, it's a bit different then liking a girl rather than liking toys or food,`` he said.
-
Aaron clearly didn't understand. What was the difference?
"Why isn't it like liking french fries?" he asked. -
``Well,`` Felix said, looking out in front of him.
``I like this girl in a different way. Not in like, "she's my best friend and I like her" kind of way. More of, "she's the most beautiful, sweet, kind, funny, and amazing girl I've ever laid eyes on and I love her" kind of way.`` He chuckled to himself, seeing as he'd pretty much just confessed his feelings to Amelia's brother.
