A little bit later Adrienne saw her dad at the laptop.
"Whatcha doing?" she asked casually.
"Hiring a tutor," he said in response.
Adrienne's eyebras furrowed together in confusion. "What for?" she asked.
"For you," Her father responded. "So you know how to act and all that."
Adrienne looked over his shoulder at his computer screen. "We can't afford that!" she exclaimed.
"It'll be worth it," he said.
She realized that he was completely invested in wanting her to succeed in this. "Well at least...At least a shorter time!" she sputtered. "Bring it down to one month!"
After a moment of thought, he nodded and adjusted it thusly.
The next three months flew by. Everything Adrienne learned from the hired tutor she taught to Sam, Megan, and Emily. About two weeks before the date they were supposed to go to the capitol they bought the dresses they were going to wear. They were very nice looking.
A few days before the four of them were supposed to leave, Adrienne had her last lesson.
"Do you think she'll do well?" her father asked the tutor.
The tutor looked at Adrienne with a disapproving look. "She has a chance." -

``So, you ready for your big date with the ladies?`` Adelaide, Callum's older sister, asked him.
``Ready as I'll ever be,`` Callum replied, running a hair through his blonde hair.
Adelaide sighed, crossing her arms. ``Can't you be a little more enthusiastic about this? You'll finally have a girlfriend and won't be some lonely loser who spends all their time alone in their room drawing!``
Callum glared at her, sitting down in his swivel chair. ``Yeah, way to make me feel much more enthusiastic,`` he muttered sarcastically, rolling his eyes. -

Soon it was the day of. The four friends were using a hotel room because they didn't entirely know how long they were going to be and timing-wise for driving back home.
"Ok, we got food and water," Adrienne said, grabbing a bag.
"What do we need food for?" Emily asked.
"There's thousands and thousands of girls," Megan explained. "This thing is going to take hours and hours and I'm not up for skipping lunch."
"Oh," Emily said with a nod. "I was wondering why you wanted me to pack one."
Soon they arrived at the place. Samantha stared in shock. "How many people are here???!!!!!" she said.
"A lot," Adrienne answered.
All the ladies were standing in a long line waiting for their turn. "Quick, before the line gets any longer," Adrienne said, pushing her friends there.
There were so many girls there. Some were in large ball gowns, hoping to win the prince over with her finery, some were in some rather revealing clothes, hoping to win the prince with her body. Adrienne and the three others couldn't help laughing at them. -
(Oh wow that's a nice looking outfit)
-
( lol I kinda just picked a random tux I found when searching up "tuxedos" on Google. The dresses you picked out were really nice too! )
Callum stood aside in a room, watching all the girls file into the main atrium. Jesus, that's a lot of girls, he said to himself, his gaze shifting from one girl in a ballgown to another.
``They look gorgeous, don't they?`` Callum's father said, putting a hand on Callum's shoulder.
``Yeah, sure,`` he muttered in reply, putting his hands in his pockets. ``But, I'm not just going to fall for the first pretty girl I lay my eyes on.``
His father chuckled, patting Callum on the back. ``You're just like I was when I met your mother,`` his father said, pulling his hand back. ``She'd be proud of your decision. Choosing to get married.``
``I'm sure..`` Callum said, sighing. He stood up straight, walking out of the side room and over to where the ladies were. -
A while later the four girls were bored so they started playing Hot Potato using Sam's bag. Other people glared at their laughing and having fun and making the best of their time.
-
Callum sighed, having already seen and talked to probably over 50 girls.
``Jesus, this is getting boring..`` he muttered to himself as the line continued moving up. He perked up slightly when he heard some laughter further back in the line. Wow, maybe there's some actually not boring people here, he thought to himself, smirking.
Another girl came up to him and he sighed, putting on a smile and talking with her. -
Hours later they were taking a break for lunch.
Most of the girls in line realized that they should have brought something to eat.
Adrienne grabbed the bag they had brought and opened it up.
"Cheese and bologna?"
"Mine"
She examined another one. "Salami, cheese, and barbecue sauce?"
"Ew!"
"Mine"
Adrienne picked up another one. "Liverwurst and cheese?"
"Mine."
Adrienne took a plastic bag out of the bag. In it contained two slices of bread, some mayonnaise, bacon, lettuce, and tomato. "And I get the BLT."
"Hey no fair!" Megan said.
"You always outsmart us," Emily laughed.
"So now," Adrienne said with a grin on her face as she arranged the sandwich, "I get to eat my very tasty sandwich while you guys get to eat your very bland sandwich."
"Share please?" Sam whined.
"Nuh-uh, this is mine." -
Callum sighed, feeling absolutely starved and bored. He looked down the line, seeing it had finally gotten somewhat short. He sat boredly as girls talked and went by, rambling about why they'd be good for him.
-
After a long time, hours later, the group of four were finally at the front of the line. They hadn't figured out an order for themselves yet.
Suddenly something struck Adrienne. Emily noticed her down expression. "What's wrong?"
Adrienne looked at her three friends. "I know the chances are slim, but what if one of us by some miracle do get chosen? Will we see each other again? What'll happen to our friendship?'
"We're still going to be friends!" Samantha exclaimed. "That's not going to change at all. And if somehow one of us does get chosen they have to promise the other three a ride in a limo."
Adrienne laughed at that.
Suddenly she was pushed to the side by a woman in the BIGGEST gown anyone had ever laid eyes on with the froofiest and largest skirt in existence.
The lady stalked up to the prince, who Adrienne noticed was at the line again ready for the next person. The woman who had pushed her started basically screaming at the prince about how DARE he start this event without her, why did she have to force herself to the front of the line, and all this ridiculous stuff.
Adrienne grinned at an idea she had. She went kind of behind monster-woman and started mimicking her dramatic movements and expressions in a comical way.
Monster-lady whipped her head around when she heard Emily, Sam, and Megan trying to stifle their laughter, but as soon as she did that the four of them acted normal. Monster-lady started screaming at the prince again and Adrienne started copying her again and her three friends were trying not to blow up in laughter. -
(So basically if you didn't get the gist Adrienne is doing that thing like in cartoons where you mimick the one person's actions making fun of them
-
Callum watched the whole fiasco and covered his mouth with his hand, trying his best to keep his composure and not laugh at the funny girl's impression of the other lady in the frilly dress. ``Alright miss uhm, I'm sorry I started without you?`` He said with a chuckle. ``Uhm, next? I guess?`` Callum sighed, letting out some of his laughter.
