Harlow stood up out of bed, his steps light and almost silent as he walked across the wooden floor. He walked out of the bedroom and into the hallway.

mayrin slowly opened hrer to reveal that the man had left, standing up she frantically looked for the person

Harlow looked around quickly before walking out of the cabin.

she looked all over the cottage, but she couldn't find him"oh well, i wish he woke me up for painkillers though" she sighed, putting on her shoes and walking towards the pond

Harlow had actually gotten far in a short amount of time. He found himself back at the pond again.
But there he saw the people who had been trying to kill him looking for his body.
Harlow silently climbed a tree. The painkillers Maryin had given him were working wonders. He took out his gun and aimed at the man who was obviously the leader of this band. Swiftly and surely the bullet he shot from his gone was lodged in his head.
The rest of the group weren't quite sure what to do without their leader, but they were independent enough of mind to make a decision, and that was to fight whoever had just killed their superior. They aimed in the general area Harlow was in and started shooting.
Harlow peeked out from behind the trunk of the tree. There were four others. He deftly shot one then guarded himself with the tree again.
With a large leap, he jumped to the branches of the tree next to him. He hugged his abdomen in pain as he kept his gun and another branch in the grasp of his other hand.
He shot at a third man, then quickly retreated behind the trunk of the tree he now was in. There were two left. -
there he is' she thought, as she arrived in time to see her uncles most trusted guard get shot by the man she saved

The two men left positioned themselves underneath the tree Harlow was in. He was able to shoot one down before they had finished aiming, but that gave the last man the opportunity to shoot. Harlow quickly swerved around the trunk and landed on a different branch to dodge the bullet. He popped out from behind the trunk and shot the fifth and final man dead.
Harlow slowly climbed down the tree. That had really drained him and he was extremely lightheaded. -
WHY DID YOU KILL MY UNCLES GUARDS?!"she screeched, tears drip down her cheeks"they were the only ones who cared"she said a little softer, then she glared at him" i help you and this is the thanks i get?" she asked

Harlow raised an eyebrow. "Your uncle, huh?" he said. "I should have seen it, you really resemble him.""

w-what do you mean? do you know him? she asked, slightly wary of him

"In a manner of speaking," Harlow said. "Let's just say I didn't kill his men without reason." And with that he started walking, more like limping, back to the cabin.

are you just going to live in the cabin, since you keep getting hurt?" she said sarcastically" and what was your reason for killing my uncles men?"

"I'm not going to stay," Harlow said. "You'll be in danger." He was surprised at his sudden loyalty to this girl he had just met a few hours ago only for a few minutes.

danger? ha, danger is nothing"she said" putting her hands on her hips" why do you care anyway?" she asked, genuinely curious

"Danger is nothing," Harlow chuckled at that. "So you really wouldn't mind getting killed by your uncle's men because of me."
