Harlow ran towards the pond. Sure, being in water didn't make him a hundred percent safe, but it was safer than the situation he was in at the moment.
Just as he was about ready to leap into the water he heard a gunshot and felt a sudden burst of pain. He fell limp to the ground, half in the water half out. -
mayrin was walking towards the pond to feed the little critters when she heard a gunshot near the place she was headed to. she picked up her pace and ran to the pond, thinking hunters were killing the animals.
when mayrin got there the last thing she expected to find was a wounded man laying halfway into the water, but there he was. she pulled him out of the water and set him down where the ground was flat. she carefully lifted his shirt over the wound and wrapped his torso(assuming it was his side) with bandages. when she was done she dragged him to the cottage she used to heal the animals and set him down on the bed(that sounds so sus lol) -

Harlow let out a moan as he was being moved to the cabin. He was barely conscious. He could hardly even register that he was being moved.

she made a maid a medicine that would put him to sleep completely. she gently moved him to a sitting position and tipped the liquid into his mouth

And he was out faster than a light.

she laid him back down and left the room to take care of the animals

Harlow awoke then shot up, immediately regretting doing so as pain shot through him. Where was he? Why was he here? How had he gotten here? Who had brought him here?

mayrin watched the man shoot up on the bed"i would lay back if i were you, but first, let me change your bandages" she said standing up
