Harlow stared at her. Well at least she didn't suspect his being an assassin yet, at least not that he could tell. He had drawn his knife on her in an uncontrolled burst, which may reveal himself. -
she brought the sleep and pain medicines and handed them to him. "here, one will put you to sleep so you can rest, the other will reduce the pain of the wound" she said

"I will go to sleep on my own accord," Harlow said. "But I'll take the painkillers."

don't even, you need rest, and i won't take no for an answer"she said crossing her arms"either you take both or none"she pouted

"Then none," he said. He could handle a little pain like this fine.

she sighed. 'only one way left to do this then, cause i need to get that bullet out' she thought"fine, have the painkillers" she said as she gave him the pills, then she grabbed the sleep medicine

Harlow swallowed the painkillers. He knew it would take about twenty minutes for them to kick in.

she tipped the liquid back into her mouth and kissed the man, pushing the medicine into his mouth

She was a very good kisser. But Harlow didn't have long to wonder about it because soon drowsiness took over and he was out like a light

mayrin pulled away and made sure he was asleep before getting tools she needed to pull the bullet out. when she finally got it out she stitched up the wound and rebandaged it. then she walked away to throw the bloody objects away

A few hours later Harlow awoke. He couldn't believe he had been tricked like that. Him. Well this was a blow on his ego.
