"What are you guys even fighting for," Jenna asked.

"To stop the evil that is trying to take control." He answered.

"What evil?" Jenna asked.

"Evil people, other shifters." He looked over at her.

"And what did Harrison mean by me being chosen?" she asked. Jenna had suddenly been thrust into this world of magic that no one knew of and people were trying to force her to fight. She was absolutely clueless to what was going on around her and she wanted answers.

"They usually choose people they want to learn magic with them and combat, seems you've been chosen."

Jenna frowned. So had Harrison's relationship with her just been something to get the chosen girl on their side? Had he ever actually cared about her?
"I don't see why," Jenna said. "I'm not anything special, I have no skills." -
"They choose people who are strong and smart." He looked away and pressed his hand against the glass.

"I don't want to be chosen," Jenna said quietly, as if just by saying that she would be able to get out of the situation, but she knew that wouldn't be the case.

"Nobody ever wants to be chosen." He answered.

Jenna looked at him. "What happens if you refuse to be chosen?"

"I don't know, nobody has done that yet." He answered back.

Jenna flopped down on the bed. "So what exactly is this 'evil' doing that's so bad?'

"It kills us and takes over the world. So like the basic comic book." He sat up a little straighter against the wall.

Jenna nodded. "You see, I should've been getting this information in the first place instead of the terrorizing and all that."
