Porak stopped talking and looked at Cassies house. It seemed to be very welcoming and pleasant.

Cassie walked in. "Let's just go to my room,"she said and started walking up the stairs.

Porak followed her. Before he went up the last step, he looked one last time to see if Cassie's parents were there.

They wouldn't be home for a few more hours. It was just Cassie and Porak in the house.
Cassie walked into her room. Immediately her eyes were drawn to the bag that contained the watch pieces. She walked over to it and stuffed the bag into a drawer. It was easier to hide away the memories. -
Porak looked at the ground, his face flushed in embarrassment. Unlike the past him, he didn't want to break any of Cassandra's stuff.

Cassie paused after shutting the drawer closed. She then say down on her bed. Maybe she could tell Porak?

Porak looked around Cassie's room with his eyes. He wanted to be respectful around a lady.

"When I was seven," Cassie started,"I watched my parents get killed."

Porak stared at her, startled at her sudden outburst.
"I-I didn't know. I'm so sorry, Cassandra." Porak mumbled. -
"We were going on a walk. Dad had left his watch at home, saying that the house would call us back when it was time. We turned the corner walking down an empty street and a man kept out from one of the alleys. Mom told me to run so I hid behind some crates. I-I watched as he shot my dad trying to protect my mom first, and then my mom. And then I ran back to the empty home."

(I know this isn't the right time, but hecc, I ship Cassie parents together so much. That was so sweet of her dad. 🥺💖)
"That's horrible..." Porak whispered. -
"The man went to court and didn't get charged with murder," Cassie said.

"What?! How does someone not get charged for murder after a stunt like that?!" Porak roared.

"Humans are animals to them. To them it's good riddance to bad rubbish," Cassie replied.

Porak's eyes softened.
"You're not rubbish. You're far from it," Porak sighed.
