The vampire had stalked away at this time. Cleo went back beside Erratum. “Well, That was somewhat cool.” She said.

"Sorry" Erratum said quietly, lowering his arms

“Hm? What for?” She asked.

Erratum lifted his head and looked at her, seemingly confused"you didnt havento protect me. Im sorry you had you had to protect a pathetic thing like me."

“Two things. One, I have to protect you. It’s not like a have a choice. And two, yes you are pathetic.” She said, trying to sound inspirational.

Erratum seemed more confused"but you do have a choice. As long as i look fine you can do anything you want and let others do the same. Thats what everyone else did" he said tiredly

Cleo sighed. “I’m not like them, I actually keep my word, unfortunately werewolves are very loyal.” She said.

"If you say so" he said softly, clearly not believing her as je stood up

“Say, don’t you have at least some mythical creature in you?” She asked.

"I dont know. As far as i know my familys all humans" he said quietly

Cleo nodded her head. “Imagine if you had some magical thing in you but you didn’t know it yet.” She said with a chuckle.

"Even if i did it wouldnt change anythingm im still weak and useleas" he pointed out. "Honestly id probably be better off dead, but that would make mother sad"

“What about your father? Wouldn’t he care?” She asked.

"Not really. He hates me." He said honestly "hes actually hoping that someone will kill me so he can try for a kid thats less of a piece of s---."

Cleo’s eyes widened in alarm. “I-I’m sorry about that.” She stammered. “If it’ll make you feel better, I can say the same about my parents. You’re lucky that at least one loves you.” She said.
