"Thanks" he said quietly "its not that good though." He set his notebook down and reached for the basket of thread he had next to him to change colours

“It’s better than what I could do.” She said. Cleo continued watching Erratum.

Erratum gave a low hum in repsonse as he threaded his needles. "You dont need to keep pretending to care you know" he said quietly"moms left for the airport already and wont be back till next month, and father doesnt care enough to worry about me. Besides, he'll be gone tomorrow afternoon"

"Sorry I guess." Cleo mumbled. She didn't really know how to act in these types of situations.

Erratum didnt respond to that as he got back to sewing, still seeming tired but wanted to finish the shirt

Cleo sighed and left the room. She obviously wasn't getting anywhere.

Erratum relaxed as she left, setting his sewing down and hugging himself

Cleo walked down the stairs and went in front of Erratums dad. “Now, what about the payment?” She asked.

Her eyes lighted up at the thought of the money. “Deal!” She exclaimed, putting out her hand so she could shake his.

He chuckles and shakes her hand. "Good. Ill write your first check now." He then turned away and grabbed a check book, quickly filling it out

“Oh no! You don’t have to, I barely did anything yet.” Cleo said with widened eyes. Her eyes were full of greed, but she kept her personality in check and made sure she seemed to come off “polite”.
